Little Treasures Day Nursery
"A Place of Wisdom & Growth"
Our award winning Nursery is situated within idyllic greenbelt countryside and benefits from extensive, landscaped gardens with outdoor leisure equipment for supervised outside play. Formerly a private residence, the property has been adapted to meet OFSTED requirements, but still retains a friendly, safe, family atmosphere.
We believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life and support to fulfill their potential.
We currently provide Day Care facilities for 71 children between the ages of six weeks and eleven years. Open 52 weeks of the year Monday's to Friday's from 7:30am - 6pm, unlike some of our competitors we close only for statutory holidays. We offer both full and part time care with morning sessions from 7:30am - 12.55pm, afternoon sessions from 1.05pm - 6pm, or full days/full time sessions from 7:30am - 6pm.
Every child is allocated a personal key worker, who will liaise closely with you to ensure continuity of care and maximum development potential. Activities are planned around the individual needs and interests of each child in our care informed by the use of ongoing observational assessment. We recognise that children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates, and that all areas of learning and development are equally important and inter-connected. Children need to be stretched, but not pushed beyond their capabilities, so that they can continue to enjoy learning.
Your child’s journey with us will be documented in their own individual learning journey as a celebration of their time with us. This is a file that is completed by their key person, by you as their parents and especially by your child. It contains observations, pictures, photographs and other evidence and is lovely keepsake to show how your child has enjoyed themselves with us as well as showing how they are developing through the
EYFS. This is available to take home with you to add too when you want to.
The self contained Baby Unit provides care for babies from the age of six weeks. At around 15-18 months, as a baby's developing needs change, children progress to the main Nursery in readiness for the transition into the 1-2s age group. More structured activities are then introduced within the over 2's unit. All of the children's rooms are equipped with activities and toy's to stimulate learning for that particular age group.
As your child's safety is of paramount importance, the Nursery has a comprehensive Fire Alarm System, and CCTV is in operation at all times. We have a number of car parking spaces for pick-up and drop-off, but respectfully ask all parents, visitors and staff to avoid obstructing the access drive and to adhere to the speed restriction of 5mph to ensure the safety of our children and other users of the track.
